The Board of Trustees of the Levante Foundation, which is the club’s largest shareholder with sixty-two percent of the titles, suspended the administration of president Quico Catalán in the 21-22 season and which ended with relegation to the Second Division, but maintains his confidence in the board of directors until the end of his term in 2023.
In a meeting held in the Ciutat de València this Monday, and as confirmed in a statement, the Board of Trustees agreed “generally” that the 21-22 season “is worthy of what in academic terms can be described as suspense”.
In addition, the members of the Board of Trustees, with the exception of the FROG representative, stated that Catalán “deserves to have the trust of the Board of Trustees to lead a project with a view to redirecting the situation created”.
As explained in a statement, Catalan stressed that he is “with strength and enthusiasm”, admitted that he is “the most responsible for the situation” and promised to correct the mistakes that in his opinion have been made and that in some cases They have already started to be corrected.
The employers “demanded” the president of Levante UD to launch “different initiatives to regain the trust of the social mass, create a competitive and sustainable project that allows the club, in the shortest possible time, to recover lost time”.
