Sunak, who has “regular contact” with him, said in statements to the BBC: “All our thoughts are with him and his family. Luckily, it was detected early.” However, he has acknowledged that he is “shocked” and “saddened” by the news. He is confident that the treatment will allow him a “full recovery.”
