Stephanie de Monaco will be a grandmother: Louis Ducruet and Marie Chevallier are expecting their first child

The Grimaldi family is a few months away from growing up. This Wednesday, the eldest son of the princess Stephanie of Monaco, Louis Ducruetannounced through his social networks that he is expecting his first child with his wife, Mary Chevallier.

The 29-year-old couple shared the good news with a photo of the two of them with their dog, who was wearing a bandana that read “I’ll be the big brother soon.” “An adventure is about to begin,” they added in the caption.

The last appearance of both on National Day in Monaco had already sparked pregnancy rumors, not only because of Marie’s incipient maternity curves, but also because of the attitude of the family, who came up to touch her tummy at all times.

Louis and Marie first met at a nightclub in Cannes when they were both classmates at a business school in the same area. Some time later, in 2019, they were married first in a civil ceremony and then in the Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate, where in 1956 Louis’s grandparents, Prince Prince Rainier II of Monaco and the American actress Grace Kelly.

For the religious ceremony, Chevallier, a Frenchwoman of Vietnamese descent, chose her own sister-in-law, Pauline Ducruet, who at that time had just launched his own firm Alter Design. “Since we are both shy, it took us a while, we looked for each other, everyone noticed, but it took me six months until we took the first step. That’s how it all started,” said the nephew of Albert of Monaco some time ago.
