Spain will have 10 ATP Challenger tournaments thanks to the financial support of the RFET

The 2021 season will feature 10 ATP Challenger category tournaments in Spain according to the provisional calendar, which is a record in our country in terms of competitions in the second division of world men's tennis.

The direct financial support of the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET) to each of the tournaments has been key so that Spanish tennis players have the opportunity to make the leap to the highest level of the professional circuit, without the cost of going out to compete outside of our country.

The Cortijo Club de Campo will open the season in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with two new consecutive tournaments that will be released the weeks of February 22 and March 1, both for € 44,820.

New tournaments in Gran Canaria and Pozoblanco

The Marbella tournament will take over (March 29) followed by another of the novelties of this 2021 in the Cordovan town of Pozoblanco (July 19), all of them from the same ATP Challenger 80 category.

The tournaments of El Espinar (July 26), in Segovia, and Seville (September 6) will be the ones with the highest economic endowment with € 85,000, the only ones in Spain of a higher category ATP Challenger 90.

Among them, The circuit will visit Mallorca (August 30), and later it will move to Murcia (September 26), Barcelona (October 4) and Alicante (October 11).

The planned development of the competition will be subject to the evolution of the health situation in our country due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
