Seville 1 – Salzburg 1 I The afternoon of penalties

Exercise of supreme resistance that Sevilla had to live in an afternoon of madness fed by a referee who is Bulgarian but not very European, Kulbakov, capable of whistling up to three penalties and expelling a player to the home team. With some success, but also with controversy in several of those actions. The tie was not in the plans but in Nervión they sigh in relief after how much bad happened to them, Mr. Chip actually shed light on the matter: It is the first time in the history of the Champions League that four penalties have been awarded in the same game. and, also, that three of them are favorable to the visiting team.

Because the afternoon, rainy, all of it was put to Salzburg to win a Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in all. Sevilla had failed some quite clear occasion in the head and a bad control of En Nesyri and in the boots of Papu Gómez, the most vertical of the premises. Almost every time they stepped onto the opponent's area, the Austrians they received a penalty as a gift. Three, specifically, all caused by an ebony devil called Karim Adeyemi and that at 19 years old Germany has already debuted so that they do not escape with their other country, that of their parents, Nigeria.

At 11 minutes Diego Carlos ran over the German striker on the area line. The Bulgarian Kulbakov had thrown the ball to the front but the VAR corrected him. Perhaps aware of Bono's adventures in Europe in recent times, Adeyemi's goal became a burrow, and threw it out clearly. Adeyemi also wanted to throw a second maximum penalty for little push from Navas, one of those sets that, at least in Europe, they are never pointed out to him, least of all to the home team. But Kulbakov did. Jaissle, a German coach, decided to change shooter. Sucic cheated on Bono (0-1, 21 ') and gave his team an advantage as well as bringing nervousness to Nervión and all of Sevilla, unable to baste much more danger until 35', in a badly read long ball for all the defense, Bono committed the third foul within the area on the same victim. This time Sucic sinned precisely and sent the ball to the post. Sevilla was saved.

And so much that he was saved. The Bulgarian referee had pointed out the penalties against the local team as easily as it was difficult for him to see a clear kick from behind the ex-Sevilla player Wóber on En-Nesyri. The VAR took the shame out of the braid, which almost without seeing the first shot pointed to the fateful point. From him, this time sí, Rakitic did not miss: 1-1 (42 '), close to Kohn's post. Relief outweighed more than the waterspout that fell on Seville in those minutes.

A stop from Bono to Sesko As soon as he came back from the dressing room, he did not recommend anything good for the second half. Confirmed: at 50 ', Bulgakov showed En-Nesyri a second yellow for simulating a penalty and Sevilla was forced to row the entire second half with one less man. Aculated behind, to tell the truth, it was those of Lopetegui who achieved more real danger against and above, but without hitting the goal. Neither Ocampos, nor Rafa Mir, either a great Lamela, that in each action gave air to the sevillistas legs. But Salzburg were almost unable to put Bono in trouble, beyond a shot from outside the area. Resisted Nervión, who never gives up.
