Roberto Bautista breaks with his coach Pepe Vendrell after 11 seasons

The current world number 19 leaves with Daniel Gimeno and Tomás Carbonell

BARCELONA, 10 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Spanish tennis player Roberto Bautista leaves his coach in the last eleven years Pepe Vendrell and, facing the new season 2022, he will train under the orders of Daniel Gimeno and Tomás Carbonell, in a change of course that pursues the objective of continuing to improve.

“Roberto Bautista Agut and Pepe Vendrell, his coach to date, will not continue together next year,” his environment announced in a statement.

Bautista himself acknowledged that after eleven seasons with Pepe Vendrell they both chose to go their separate ways. “With him as a coach I have achieved my best results, so I thank him for all his work during this time. This decision comes after mutual consensus and with the intention of continuing to improve professionally,” he added.

“I keep getting up every day with the same enthusiasm for training and competing as the first day. My goal is to go out on the track and show my highest level,” said Bautista, currently at number 19 in the ATP ranking.

From this moment, Bautista Agut begins to prepare the next season with the help of Daniel Gimeno and Tomás Carbonell. The first scheduled appointment is the ATP Cup, where the tennis player will be number one for the Spanish team.
