Rivelino affirms that Neymar and Romario would have been headlines in the Brazil of Mexico 70

The ex-Brazilian footballer Roberto Rivelino affirmed this Tuesday that Neymar Y Romario would be headlines in the glorious selection of their country that conquered the Mexico'70 World Cup and dazzled the world, and that either of them could have occupied the position of Tostao.

“In 70, Neymar was playing. He was going to play in 70 because of his quality and Tostao was going out. That's why he would play and another who would also play in 70 would be Romario, also instead of Tostao,” Rivelino said in the program television Arena SBT.

Neymar is the top figure of the current Brazilian team that disputes the Copa América as host and favorite candidate for the title.

Along with Pelé, Gerson, Tostao and Jairzinho, Rivelino was part of the Scratch offensive quintet that won the World Cup on Mexican soil.

The idol of the São Paulo club Corinthians and now a television commentator criticized the current coach Tite for not changing his style of play and proposed as coach Renato Gaúcho, who left the Gremio club and whose name has sounded strongly as a possible replacement for the current coach.

“Tite does not change. He has his scheme and defends it with his chest and sword, but if you see he only has one protagonist: Neymar. So, Renato Gaúcho would be my coach. I like him because he knows what he is doing and orders to do it in court, “he said.
