Renato Tapia triggers the interest of Peruvians in Celta

The presence of Renato Tapia has triggered the following of Celta de Vigo in Peru to become the second country in number of followers of the profile of the Galician club on Instagram.

The entity chaired by Carlos Mouriño announced on Tuesday that it has reached the number of 300,000 followers in this social network, of which 6 percent reside in Peru, which is also now the third country in number of followers of the RC Celta profile on Facebook (45,420), only behind Mexico (50,164) and Spain (137,273).

Lima is the second city in number of followers on Facebook (19,186) after Vigo (34,814).

Tapia arrived in Vigo in July 2020 after ending his contract with Feyenoord. His good performance in Dutch football, the leadership shown in his national team and, above all, the need to reinforce the center of the field with a muscular footballer encouraged Felipe Miñambres to launch his signing.

And it didn’t take long for the midfielder to become Celta’s lung in midfield, first for Óscar García Junyent and later for Eduardo “Chacho” Coudet. Last season he played 32 games (2709 minutes in LaLiga), and in this he already played 11 despite missing several days due to injury.
