Regulations for practicing tennis in Phase 2 of de-escalation

The Official State Gazette published last Saturday the resolution (Order SND / 414/2020, of May 16) that includes the application measures for sports practice in PHASE 2 of the de-escalation by COVID-19, which will enter a good part of the national geography next Monday, May 25.

For this PHASE 2, new measures of flexibility for professional and federated sports, as well as for physical activity in general, both for basic training in federated non-professional leagues, and for total training in professional leagues.

In order to proceed with the best interpretation and dissemination of this new regulation applicable in the territories that access PHASE 2, the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET) issues the following Communiqué that includes the most outstanding points.

Reopening of covered courts and limited use of changing rooms

Among the flexibility measures, the permission for the reopening of indoor tennis courts, and reopening of locker rooms at clubs, although the use of showers is still prohibited.

Likewise, it is established that people over 70 years of age may carry out physical activity outdoors between 10-12 hours and 19-20 hours. People under the age of 70 can take the outdoor non-professional physical activity in any time slot except for the one reserved for those who exceed this age range. The Autonomous Communities and Autonomous Cities may adapt these time slots up to two hours before or two hours later, as long as the total duration thereof is not increased.
