José Mourinho has spent more than 500 euros on a ham to fulfill a promise with Sergio Reguilón. The Tottenham coach, who was personally involved in the signing of the Real Madrid youth squad, has published an image on Instagram in which they pose smiling while tasting a piece of ham. The invitation was made by the Portuguese coach, who wrote the following next to the photo: “A promise is a promise. It cost me 500 pounds (562 euros to change), but I keep my promises ”.
Reguilón, 23, is a fixture in Mourinho's line-ups at Tottenham. The left-back has played nine full games since joining the Spurs and, in addition to an outstanding defensive performance, has already provided three assists.
