A double from Toletti and a great goal from Alba Redondo give Sporting de Portugal a comeback
MADRID, 26 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Real Madrid fulfilled its qualification for the Women’s Champions League for the fourth consecutive edition thanks to a great comeback this Thursday at the Alfredo di Stéfano Stadium, a 3-1 in the second leg of the qualifying phase against Sporting de Portugal.
The team led by Alberto Toril already achieved advantage in the first leg last week, with a 1-2 that Melanie Leupolz scratched in the 95th minute, and in front of their audience they did not fail despite starting at the bottom. Sporting, a team that like White is going from strength to strength at the start of the season, made it 0-1 after five minutes.
Capeta did not manage to put fear into White’s body because, after two minutes, Toletti achieved the tie. From there, Madrid became strong, dominated the ball and the chances, although they did not complete the comeback until the start of the second half with Toletti’s double, in the 51st minute.
Those from Toril held on as owners of the ticket to the group stage of the Champions League and sealed the injury time with a great goal from Alba Redondo, one of the quality reinforcements of the Madrid team in search of a step more precisely in Europe, to put the Madrid among the 16 teams that will be in the draw this Friday in Nyon.
