Real leaves Madrid leader and Getafe rears its head

MADRID, 21 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Sociedad yielded the leadership of LaLiga Santander, in favor of Real Madrid, when they drew without goals against Valencia this Sunday, in a matchday 14 that left the triumph (4-0) of Getafe over Cádiz to stop being bottom and the victory of Real Betis against Elche (0-3) that cost Fran Escribá his place.

Anoeta suffered the usual ‘annoying’ visit lately from a Valencia with clear ideas. José Bordalás’s team managed to tie up a Real’s game for many minutes without the usual mobility. The ‘che’ team continues its regular sum of points, passing tests against the top rivals, while the ‘txuri urdin’ accumulate 17 games without losing.

La Real, which is second with 29 points, with one more game, for Madrid’s 30, was left with one less due to the expulsion of Aritz, 20 minutes in which Valencia did not know how to take another step in its good second part. The first act was more local, but one I want and cannot from the Basques, without finding their game engine.

Isak and Guedes left the chances, and in the resumption the box ‘che’ came better on the wing, with Gayá and Foulquier, but the game was getting stuck in many yellows. In the discount, Zubimendi and Maxi were able to change the result for their teams.

In addition, Betis fulminated Elche in an unknown first half of the people of Elche. With a victory in 10 games, Escribá himself announced his dismissal at the press conference of a clear match for the Betis already at halftime. Juanmi, Willian José and Fekir were lethal against an erratic defense.

Betis played the last half hour with 10 for a red to Bellerín, but Pellegrini’s men added the three points in their fight in the European zone. Meanwhile, Elche remains in decline and without a Escribá that at the moment has no substitute.

THE GETAFE SMILES AFTER THE STOP

The morning shift this Sunday brought Getafe’s win at the Coliseum against Cádiz that remains one point above relegation. The azulón team abandoned the ‘red lantern’ with head butts, those of Olivera, Cuenca and Ünal who scored the first three goals, in the 7th minute and already in the final stretch.

Those of Quique Sánchez Flores did not fail on a key day, to hold Cádiz and open the fight for salvation, and incidentally did pineapple with the Coliseum. Cádiz created dangerous situations but they lacked aim to have a choice. Jaime Mata in the discount initialed the joy to the south of Madrid with a goal.
