A condition that must be assigned with caution, given the difficulties to scrutinize the statistics of past eras, not only in terms of numbers, but also in terms of other more advanced demarcations in which the defenders were able to develop. But what the data and his 127 goals in the elite do make clear (plus another two in Second B with the Sevilla subsidiary) is that the Real Madrid captain has installed himself in the olympus of defenders with more dynamite and that still aspires to occupy a more privileged position in the ranking.

There is no doubt that in recent years Ramos has emerged as the top scorer of the football elite.
