MADRID, 26 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The cyclists Rafael Bascón and Zoe Zamora were proclaimed champions of the Spanish Downhill Cup on Sunday in Otívar (Granada) after winning second and first place respectively in their tests.

In the men’s event, Yelco Romero was the fastest facing the descent arranged by the CD Show Time BMX in Otívar; Romero beat the second-placed ‘scratch’, the junior Dani Castellanos, champion of his category in Otívar, by a narrow margin of less than one second.

Bascón set the third fastest time, just one second behind Romero, a position that was enough for him to endorse his leadership in the Spanish Cup overall.

As for the females, Zoe Zamora won with solvency ahead of her sister Kira Zamora, winner among the juniors, and Inés Chinchilla, third. In this way, Zamora won the national competition.
