Queralt Castellet achieves gold at the Laax World Cup

MADRID, Jan. 18 (SportsFinding) –

The Spanish 'rider' Queralt Castellet has won the gold medal in the FIS World Cup in Laax (Switzerland) and has placed second in the general classification in the 'halfpipe' category.

The sportswoman of the Royal Spanish Winter Sports Federation Spainsnow has signed an unbeatable start to the year. Castellet already demonstrated it in the first test of the World Cup in Copper Mountain, and this Saturday has returned to give the chest.

Queralt was willing to put all the meat on the grill after having sealed “the best season of his life” the previous season. With that gold in Colorado, and not so good luck in the second stop at Secret Garden (China), Queralt starts 2020 strongly and demonstrating his good form.

The results of a great preseason and this gold in the Swiss World Cup – thanks to a first round of 90 points – are the best test. A victory that seemed to be intuited after the first place with which he qualified for the final last Thursday with 89 points.

For his part, Javi Lliso conquered a historic fourth place in the FIS World Cup slopestyle of Seiser Alm (Italy). The Madrid freeskier was only surpassed by the Norwegian Birk Ruud, the Swiss Fabian Boesch and the American Colby Stevenson.
