PSG puts pressure on Mbappé

The endless story of 2021 is, without a doubt, the renewal of Kylian Mbappé. The French international has yet to make a decision regarding his future and, according to the information of L’Equipe, PSG is putting pressure on the player's environment to advance the negotiations and try to close the extension of the forward's contract as soon as possible.

The prestigious French newspaper assures that Mbappé still has in mind to leave Paris to play for a foreign club and fears that it could not happen in case of renewal. However, the player is delighted in Paris, since the results, especially in the Champions League, are accompanying and every day he feels more involved in the Parisian project. The goal of PSG is for Mbappé to renew for at least two more years and be one of the standard bearers for the 2024 World Cup, a tournament for which Nasser Al Khelaïfi is the ambassador.

The possibility of him renewing Mbappé until 2024 could be a kind of forecast of his departure. Al Khelaïfi could let him leave in 2023 for a reasonable figure if the French international ends up extending his link to the club for two years. According to L’Equipe, the club has intensified negotiations with the player's environment, although there is still nothing concrete.

PSG is hopeful that the new contract offered to Mbappé will be unaffordable for most European teams. The latest offer from the Parisians to the striker is € 30 million gross per season, 5 million more than he currently receives. From the capital team they hope that this effort will be enough to convince Bondy's, who still does not respond to the latest offers from his current team.
