Professional Leagues unite to provide a coordinated response to the pandemic

The Association of Spanish Professional Leagues (ALPE), formed by The league
soccer, the Basketball CBA, the Futsal LNFS and the ASOBAL handball, met this Thursday and agreed to “establish a direct communication channel” between them “to exchange experiences and knowledge” on controlling the progression of COVID-19 in the competitions they organize.

In addition, they have agreed to “intensify the prevention, monitoring and control measures of the epidemic and offer, as far as possible, a coordinated response by all the leagues that make up the ALPE.”

The ALPE adds that “it will actively help the leagues that comprise it and do not have tests, in the supply of antigen tests to detect COVID-19.”

They will meet again “within ten days to discuss and continue discussing matters concerning this problem and other aspects that may arise.”
