The midfielder of the Spanish team Pablo Sarabia agreed with the national coach Luis Enrique Martínez in classifying Tuesday’s duel against Portugal as “a final”, a rival whose “potential” he knows and who they hope to win to continue increasing the ” credit” that the team has been “earning little by little”.
“Tomorrow is a final for us. We want to be in the final phase of the League of Nations, we know Portugal’s potential, but we are preparing well because today any group match has enormous difficulties and that is better for us to improve competitiveness for the final phases”, admitted Sarabia this Monday at a press conference.
The man from Madrid indicated that they are going to find “a very tough team with a lot of technical quality”. “We will try to do our thing and many things well to win this game because we want to reach the ‘Final Four’ before the World Cup,” he stressed.
“We knew that we were going to play it this Tuesday. We would have liked to beat Switzerland, but we knew that Portugal was going to win their match. I see a very disputed match like the previous ones we have played against them, with a lot of difficulty because we are two teams, with a different idea, but very powerful. They have enormous individual quality and we are going to try to do the best possible to win it”, continued the PSG footballer.
He assured that playing with a ‘9’ does not change his way of playing, as Marco Asensio could have done last Saturday. “We have the main idea of the coach and whoever plays has the same idea and the same functions. There are some that are more associative and others more reference, but for me nothing changes, I have my functions and it is the same idea to get the greater damage to the rival”, stressed Sarabia.
“From the first moment and since I arrived here, the strength of this team is the team. We have an idea that is the most important thing and to win games. The more people available we have, the stronger the team, but full confidence in everyone teammates”, added the midfielder.
The man from Madrid considered that “the credit” that the team currently has has been “earned little by little”. “In the EURO few people gave much for us and we managed to hook people. We have to try to keep that credit growing and hopefully we beat Portugal and have a ‘little’ more”, he wished.

“There are many teams making very good records and forming great teams, and I think we can be among them in the World Cup. But we must not make mistakes and think about those things, but rather continue working as we have done up to now, which is the best way to be prepared for possible extreme situations like the World Cup where each game will be difficult”, he said.
On the other hand, the international made it clear that the proximity of the World Cup in Qatar does not make him play with fear of injury. “When you go with caution it is worse, you are more likely to hurt yourself.
