Official: Pintus returns to Madrid

The Italian physical trainer Antonio Pintus (58 years old) returns to Real Madrid. The club has announced it as if it were a signing: with an official statement on its website and disseminated through social networks. It will be his second stage in the white team. It arrived in 2016 from the hand of Zinedine Zidane and was key in the conquest of two of the three Champions in a row, in addition to the double achieved in 2017. He will be part of the coaching staff of Carlo Ancelotti.

Pintus arrives to take charge of everything related to the physical preparation of the first team, as well as the rest of the club's teams. Madrid will give him full powers, seeking to recover the best physical tone of the players and avoid living a year like the last, marked by more than 60 injuries on the squad, most of them muscular.

His first stage in the white team ended in 2019. His relationship with Zidane was never the same after the Frenchman's departure in 2018. Pintus stayed at Madrid, but with Lopetegui on the bench he lost much of the power he had. Zidane returned months later, but the coach ended up leaving the team in the summer to go to Inter.

Has already been on 13 teams, in some of them on more than one occasion as is the case of the Juventus or Madrid itself. It is a 'crazy' of the sport who is adept at doing the hardest work at the beginning to keep players in the best shape possible from mid to late season. Their preseason is tough, but they always pay off.
