New changes to the ATP ranking system

The ATP announced changes in the ranking point system last year, thus counting the 18 best results of each tennis player in the last 22 months, that is, from the moment the tournaments were resumed. However, the men's ranking dawned last Monday with some modifications in its last update, thus confirming the latest measures adopted by the ATP weeks ago, since instead of the 18 goes on to count the 19 best records of each player.

In this way, the tournaments from which the points will be drawn will be the following: four Grand Slams, the eight Masters 1000 and the seven best results from other tournaments such as ATP Cup, ATP 500, ATP 250, Challenger and ITF. It should be noted that in the case of players competing in the ATP Finals, the points obtained in their locker will be counted as an additional event. For the classification of that 'race' towards Milan, where the ATP Finals will be held this year after concluding their journey in London, it should be noted that only the events held in 2021 will count.

So, since last Monday, the men's ranking suffered some variations in the score of the players, but none significant. No top-10 player improved their position despite Zverev, Tsitsipas and Berrettini scoring points, though less than a hundred all of them. Yes he did the promising Sinner, who rose from 37th to 36th, the best ranking of his career till the date.
