Nadal and Alcaraz, nominated for the ATP awards

The ATP announced on Wednesday the list of nominees for its annual awards in all categories. And among them are two Spaniards, Carlos Alcaraz and Rafa Nadal. The first, who at 18 years old has already released his track record this year, winning the NextGen Finals among other tournaments, and has crept into the top 50 in the ranking, is opting for the Most Improved Player of the season. Rafa, who has missed the second half of the course due to his physical problems, is among the contenders for the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award.

A curious case of this edition is that of the Ruud family. Casper, who has won five ATP titles this year, is among the nominees for Most Improved Player and for the Sportsmanship Award. On the other hand, his father and coach, Christian, is one of the candidates for Best Coach. So is Juan Carlos Ferrero for his work with Carlos Alcaraz.
