Monchi seeks left-handed side for the third consecutive summer

Planning the Seville will have for the third consecutive summer marked in red the signing of a left back. The one that will be the third project of Monchi after his return from Rome and of Lopetegui on the bench of Nerve, he needs to reinforce a position in which he was notably hit in the last two seasons.

Escudero's goodbye after ending his contract forces Sevilla to look for a left back in the market. Two summers ago, they opted for lon loan from Reguilón, whose level throughout 2019/20 led to its transfer to Tottenham. Sevilla tried to get his signing, but the numbers did not add up. To replace Reguilón, a year ago it was decided to disburse 10 million euros to Sporting de Portugal for Marcos Acuña. And the Argentine not only made Reguilón forget, but his level has been a point above his predecessor in the position.

Now, Sevilla only has Acuña as a specific left-handed winger and nobody from the quarry aims to give the saltor. One of the first names that has come up to apply for the position has been that of Javi Galán, Huesca player, although in recent times its future seems closer to the Leeds than from Sevilla.

Be that as it may, what is clear is that an offensive full-back profile is being sought. Monchi has to be, at least, as successful as in his last two schedules.
