Míchel returns to his origins as a coach: Vallecas

Getafe visits Rayo Vallecano tomorrow (2:00 p.m.). Míchel, a blue technician, will feel a tingling in his stomach. He returns to the neighborhood and the stadium where he started as a coach. It was in the summer of 2005 when he decided to leave the microphones (He had been a TVE commentator since 1994 with José Ángel de la Casa) and start your coaching career.

His first adventure was the bench for Rayo Vallecano, who was then a member of Second B. In the 42 league games, his Rayo had 18 victories, 14 draws and 10 defeats. El Rayo failed to enter the promotion playoff. The president of Rayo was Teresa Rivero and the stadium bore her name. The Míchel's assistant was Pepe Mel and among the players in the squad, Míchel, today Girona coach, and Coke, currently in Levante, stood out.

When he did not get the promotion, for which he would automatically renew, Míchel left Rayo and took the Real Madrid subsidiary, in the Second Division, and his career had a journey in Getafe, Seville, Olympiacos, Olympique de Marsella, Malaga, Pumas de México and now , again, Getafe.
Today, heading back to Vallecas, his concern is how he will make up for the loss of Arambarri, a key player in the team.
