Martin Hermannsson suffers a complete rupture of the cruciate ligament in his left knee

MADRID, 31 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Valencia Basket point guard Martin Hermannsson suffers a complete rupture of the cruciate ligament in his left knee, an injury that occurred in the third match of the Endesa League Playoff against Bitci Baskonia, the ‘taronja’ club confirmed on Tuesday.

“The imaging tests to which Martin Hermannsson has been subjected this morning have confirmed that the Icelandic base suffers a complete rupture of the cruciate ligament in his left knee,” the Valencian entity announced in a statement.

The Icelander was injured during the second quarter of the duel against the Basque team, after a bad gesture in the knee in a play in which he did not receive any blow.

The player fell to the ground and had to leave the track helped by members of the coaching staff between ostensive signs of pain. Thus, he must spend several months off.
