Manchester City, expelled from the Champions League two years for breaching financial fair play

Manchester City has been excluded from the next two editions of the UEFA Champions League for breaching the financial 'Fair Play', so it will also have to pay a fine of 30 million euros.

Manchester City inflated its sponsorship income through false documents when submitting its application to fulfill the financial fair play. UEFA has considered that these practices are inadmissible.

The sports sanction will not apply this season, in which the next European City match coached by Pep Guardiola will be Real Madrid, in the round of 16.
