Malaga announced on Saturday the dismissal of its coach Víctor Sánchez del Amo after being extorted from the publication of a video of sexual content that has generated “serious damage” in the entity, as explained by the Martiricos club.
“Malaga has decided to terminate the employment contract that linked it with Víctor Sánchez del Amo (…) The club has made its best efforts to be able to resolve the situation amicably through intense negotiations. However, despite the continuous and incessant efforts made, it has not been possible to reach a friendly separation, “said the club.
Consequently, Málaga has decided to fire Víctor Sánchez del Amo for “disciplinary reasons”, all of them “in accordance with the applicable regulations” after the publication of a video that “has damaged the image of the coach and the club”, they indicate from the entity, which removed the technician from his position as soon as he heard the news.
The Andalusian club adopts this decision considering the “serious damage caused to the institution by recent extra-sporting events, in order to minimize its impact on the team and the entire organization of Malaga.”
The coach denounced the publication of the video and said he had seen his privacy attacked. This Saturday, the National Police released a 41-year-old male arrested in the afternoon of last Friday in Puente Genil (Córdoba) accused of spreading the intimate video of the Málaga CF coach on social networks.

Víctor Sánchez del Amo will be replaced by the coach of the subsidiary Sergio Pellicer. “Until the moment in which a new coach is named, Sergio Pellicer will act as coach of the first team and will direct him in the following matches,” said the club from Malaga.
