Málaga and Unicaja, the two most representative sports clubs in the province of Málaga, have decided to join forces and have announced that they are at the disposal of the provincial, regional and national authorities to be part of activities or initiatives that can help to recover the damage caused by the fire that has struck Sierra Bermeja these last days.
The first of these actions will take place this weekend, when both teams they will wear a shirt with the slogan #RecuperemosSierraBermeja in the moments prior to their respective matches to raise awareness for the recovery of this very important natural setting in the province.
In addition, they will continue to make their human potential available helping with the participation of volunteers from the great family of Malaga and Unicaja in cleaning or reforestation tasks when the fire is completely extinguished.
“Workers, volunteers, quarry, subscribers, fans … in short, a large part of the social and sports fabric of our land, all of them promoted by Málaga CF and Unicaja they will do their best to try to alleviate to some extent the enormous environmental tragedy that we are experiencing. From Málaga Club de Fútbol and Unicaja Baloncesto we can only thank and value the enormous work carried out by INFOCA and by all the entities and volunteers who are participating in the extinction of the fire. Now It is the moment of the commitment of the people of Malaga for the recovery of the natural landscapes of Sierra Bermeja and the two main professional football and basketball clubs in Malaga want to be there ”, reads the joint statement issued by both entities.
