Lampard asks for Willian's continuity at Chelsea

180 degree turn in the situation of Willian Borges. When everything indicated that the Brazilian international would not continue at Chelsea, a door has opened to the permanence of the winger in the ‘blue’ team.

As Sky Sports assures, Frank Lampard insists that the board make an effort to try to retain Willian, who ends his contract once the Chelsea season ends. So far, negotiations for his renewal have been unsuccessful, since the player would want a contract for three seasons, while the English offer him only two years.

Exit was the most likely option, but Lampard wants to count on the Brazilian international at all costs, since Pedro will also leave the ‘blue’ outfit this summer.

Since his arrival at Chelsea, Willian has been a fixture in the rosters of coaches who have sat on the bench for the London team, always playing at least 42 games per season.
