LaLiga informs the clubs that the competition is suspended

The Professional Soccer League has informed the clubs that the next two days of the League will be postponed for at least two weeks. This has been sent to him through messages minutes after the summit that the employers, the Spanish Football Federation and the Association of Spanish Soccer Players in Las Rozas should maintain. LaLiga explained that as long as positives are not detected, they can continue training. It must be remembered that Real Madrid is in quarantine when a case is detected in the basketball section. This is the statement that LaLiga has issued after the meeting:

“Given the circumstances known this morning, referring to the quarantine established at Real Madrid and the possible positives in players from other clubs, LaLiga considers that the circumstances are already in place to continue with the next phase of the protocol of action against COVID – 19. Consequently, in accordance with the measures established in Royal Decree 664/1997 of May 12, agrees to suspend at least the next two days.

Said decision will be reevaluated after the completion of the quarantines decreed in the affected clubs and other possible situations that may arise.

LaLiga, as organizer of the competition, has proceeded to notify the RFEF, the CSD and the Clubs. “

The RFEF and AFE arrived at the meeting already convinced that the best thing is the postponement, since the World Health Organization (WHO) has already described the coronavirus as a “global pandemic”. LaLiga wanted to wait for the final council of the Ministry of Health, which also recommends the suspension.
