The league and Santander Bank They have renewed their collaboration agreement for two more years, with the option of extending it a third, until the 2023-2024 season, as both entities announced today. The collaboration between these two organizations started in 2016. The new agreement contemplates an extension of the commitment for a third season, until 2025.
Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, and Rami Aboukhair, CEO of Santander Spain, have agreed on the importance and significance of an agreement like this, especially at a time as complicated as the one we are currently experiencing due to the pandemic.
For Javier Tebas, “to continue counting on our main sponsor, Banco Santander, is the confirmation that we are working on the right path. Furthermore, Santander is a leading company in its sector that has decided to choose LaLiga as its main partner in the world of sports, which is infinite pride for all of us ”.
Both entities began their collaboration in 2016 and the new agreement is extendable for one more season, until 2025
For his part, Rami Aboukhair stated that “we are very proud to continue naming the best league in the world, LaLiga Santander. Because football is Marca España, it is watching the games with friends and family. In addition, it represents values with which we feel very identified, such as effort, teamwork or commitment ”.
Apart from continuing to be the official sponsor of LaLiga, the agreement between both entities goes further, since it also includes the sponsorship of LaLiga Genuine Santander, the League made up of teams from the DI collective (people with intellectual disabilities), and from LaLiga Promises (under-12 football) and, in addition, is the main sponsor of the official FIFA21 competition in Spain: eLaLiga Santander.
