Kyrgios: “I have never felt so insulted”

Nick Kyrgios continues to prepare for his return to the slopes for the grass season after giving up competing in post-Australian Open tournaments because of the current situation of the coronavirus pandemic. Kyrgios, who turned 26 this Tuesday and who alternates his training sessions with online video games, was very irritated before such a special date for him after someone compared him to fellow Australian tennis player Bernard Tomic.

Kyrgios's response to this comparison was immediate and he published this response through a 'story' on his Instagram account. “Today I have been compared to Bernard Tomic, I have never felt so insulted. Does he have a foundation? Has he been successful? Has he helped raise money for the Australian bushfires”, Kyrgios said indignantly through a 'story' on his Instagram account.

Kyrgios's criticism of Tomic did not stop there, as he also criticized the way of life of his compatriot. “Also, I don't compare myself to anyone who does OnlyFans (in allusion to Vanessa Sierra, Tomic's girlfriend. By the way, in terms of success I meant that I have won the big four”, Alluding to the fact that Kyrgios can boast of having won at least one match against Djokovic, Nadal, Federer and Andy Murray. A feat that we will see if he is able to repeat his long-awaited return to competition in the grass season, his favorite surface.
