Kuznetsova joins the absence list for the US Open

The long list of tennis players who will not compete in the US Open for fear of the coronavirus continues to increase. This monday was Svetlana Kuznetsova, champion of the tournament in 2004, who announced her decision not to go to New York. The Russian, number 32 in the world, published on her Instagram that she will not finally participate in the next US Open.

Also, Kuznetsova will not be in the Western & Southern Open, a Cincinnati tournament that this year will be held in New York. “Due to the unfavorable situation caused by the coronavirus, and the impossibility of having my entire team with me, I have made the difficult decision not to participate in Cincinnati and the US Open”said the Russian.
