Jordan, the infallible signing

There are signings that are not talked about much but that end up being fundamental in a team without its performance having a media hype. It would be the case of Joan Jordan (Regencos, July 6, 1995), which came from the Eibar after paying 14 million euros and that in his first season in the Seville It has become a key piece for the team from Seville to have qualified for the Champions League and aspire to conquer the Europa League this August.

The Catalan was a bet by Monchi who fitted in right from the start with Julen Lopetegui, a coach who has been “surprised” by the footballer for good because of his defensive demands and the way he prepares games. That work has been essential, especially after the break, when the coaches have had to demand more of themselves to prepare their team physically, tactically and mentally. In Seville it has resulted in a streak of the last 15 days undefeated.

Lopetegui soon gave gallons to Jordan and that is why he has signed more than interesting numbers: With 87.5% success in the League pass (90% among all competitions), he is at the height of 'monsters' like Kroos, De Jong, Busquets, Modric or Canales.

In Seville, together with Jesús Navas, he has played the most official matches, 43, which also makes him the second most signed signing, only surpassed by Griezmann, with 49. Both still have the Champions League and the Europa League.

Jordán has always said that he is “delighted with the demand and the football atmosphere of Seville”. And now he is not satisfied with having entered the Champions League, but dreams of “repeating the exploits in the Europa League”. Ambition is not lacking.
