MADRID, 4 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
FC Barcelona forward Joao Félix explained that his celebration of the 1-0 win against Atlético de Madrid was “spontaneous”, although he also pointed out that it was a moment of “relief for everything he had experienced” especially last summer, happy for a “victory very important”.
“A very important victory, we knew how difficult the game was. We got the three points, which was the most important thing, and now we're going to think about Girona,” he said in statements to Movistar Plus, reported by Europa Press.
The Portuguese had all the spotlight on him in the duel against the team that has him on loan in the culé team, but he pointed out that he is calm. “One more week, not to get big, but every week people talk about me. Good or bad, I'm always a topic, but I'm calm,” he said.
“I don't see what they're talking about, I do my job without thinking about what they say. Here I am, working to improve and be a better player. This is the result of the work and help of the club that received me so well and of my teammates,” he added.
“It has been spontaneous. In the end, you get into the heat of the game and it was like a relief for everything I have experienced mainly this summer. Only the people close to me know what it has been like, my family, it has been more for them and a relief for them,” he explained about the celebration of the goal that marked the culé victory.
Félix also pointed out that he has affection and a good relationship with “almost all” the Atlético players. “I get along well with all of them, they know well that I have nothing against them, I get along very well with almost all of them, I love them a lot. They have been my teammates and I love them a lot, may they do very well, except against us,” he claimed.
“When I heard it I didn't believe it, with the greatness of this club, having the fans shouting your name doesn't happen much. I'm happy and I will continue working to keep them singing,” he concluded.
