The former Spanish soccer player Javier Dorado, European Cup champion with Real Madrid in 2000 and former team player such as RCD Mallorca, Rayo Vallecano or Real Sporting de Gijón, died this Thursday at age 48.
Born in Talavera de la Reina (Toledo) in 1977, he trained as a footballer at Real Madrid from 1996, becoming part of the first team in 1999-2000, the year in which he built the European Cup with the White Club.
Then, he played at the UD Salamanca and in 2001 he joined Sporting as a loan, returning to sportinguist discipline in the summer of 2003, after passing through Rayo Vallecano. Talavera closed his career at the RCD Mallorca, between 2006 and 2009, and at Atlético Baleares, where he retired in 2012.
“Real Madrid, its president and its Board of Directors deeply regret the death of Javier Dorado, Canterano of Real Madrid and player of our first team between 1999 and 2000,” the Merengue club said in a statement.
Real Madrid wants to express their condolences and love to their relatives, their peers, to all their loved ones and all the clubs of which he was part.
During the two seasons that the Real Madrid shirt defended, Javier Dorado won 1 European Cup, the Eighth in Paris (2000). Javier Dorado has died at 48 years of age. Rest in peace.
For its part, the RCD Mallorca also lamented “deeply the loss of Javier Dorado”, which defended the Bermellón club shirt between 2006 and 2009. “We sent our condolences to his family and loved ones,” said the statement of the Balearic entity.
The player Vallecano, his team between 2002 and 2003, as well as Sporting de Gijón, also lamented the player. “The Real Sporting de Gijón shows his regret for the death of former player Javier Dorado. The club joins the pain of his relatives and loved ones, to whom he sends his most condolences,” said the statement of the Asturian club.
