Hungary beats a sad England (1-0)

Hungary was deservedly imposed on a sad England in the premiere of both in the new edition of the Nations League (1-0) thanks to a solitary goal from His room penalty.

It is impossible to salvage anything good from the party of the men of Gareth Southgate. Nor from the coach, who decided to go out with a three-back defense and put Maguire on the left and Justin on the lane of that same band. Two right-handed players whom Hungary cornered and made it difficult for the ‘pross’ to get the ball out and quality of possession.

In the first part, England was unable to generate anything at all. He encountered Mount, Kane and Bowen very rarely and suffered at each loss, as Hungary he easily overcame the center of the field with his verticality, then doing damage on the outside. The best English player was Pickford, who had work soon, watching Alexander-Arnold’s back, where Nagy hit again and again. Of course, the match went into the break with a goalless draw, although Szalai almost achieved a wonder from midfield, beating the British goalkeeper and putting the ball close to the post and before His roombut Coady took her out on the line.

In view of the difficulties coming out from the left, and with a half-touched Justin, Southgate decided to bring in Saka as a winger and, although he almost scored in the first few minutes, it was not the solution for England’s poor role either.

Things got even worse when the referee signaled a highly debatable penalty from Rice James about Zsolt Nagy who was in charge of transforming His room with success (66′). It was then that Hungary stepped back to defend the advantage and England tried to search the area insistently, finding several promising occasions in which Bowen and Kane lacked finesse in the definition to scratch at least a point.

In fact, the one that was closest to finding the goal, in this case the second, was Hungary, missing a clamorous Schafer with Pickford sold after stopping the first shot. The score then did not move and Hungary took the prize against a England which again left doubts.
