Granada takes the lead and Andorra, Zaragoza and Ibiza confirm their improvement

MADRID, 18 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Granada beat Mirandés this Saturday (2-1) to become leader of LaLiga Smartbank, while Andorra, Zaragoza and Ibiza confirmed their improvement with victory over Eibar, Sporting de Gijón and Oviedo, respectively.

The Villarreal subsidiary continues to make its stadium an insurmountable fiefdom, after beating Lugo 3-1, who added their first defeat as a visitor so far this season on Saturday. The ‘mini submarine’ did not fail in front of his fans in a duel in which he grew as the minutes went by and which he controlled since Fer Niño opened the can in minute 35, a result that allows him to place sixth, in positions of promotion, with 10 points. The Galicians are thirteenth with seven units, in nobody’s zone.

However, the game began with dominance of the Lugo players, who had the clearest in the first minutes in the boots of Chris Ramos and Juanpe. The striker also did not come in a great opportunity for Señé, after a good play by Cuéllar, although the Castellón team’s goalkeeper Gianni Cassaro, who made his debut in the yellow goal.

Villarreal B went from less to more and the cousin arrived in the 35th minute, with a goal from Fer Niño, who beat the Galician team’s goalkeeper, after a great pass from Collado to culminate a good combination action. With the start of the second half, yellow’s dominance was even clearer and in minute 52 their advantage was extended from eleven meters, with a penalty on Fer Niño and converted by Lozano. The 3-0, fifteen minutes later, was the work of Diego Collado in a counterattack. Ramos scored the honor for Lugo in minute 77, but only two minutes later he was sent off for a double yellow card.

IBIZA CONFIRMS ITS GOOD TREND AT EL TARTIERE

In the second game this Saturday in the ‘Silver Division’, Ibiza confirmed its positive trend and added its second consecutive victory against Oviedo at the Carlos Tartiere with a penalty goal from Ekain. The lack of success condemned the Asturians, who had the clearest in the addition with a shot to the crossbar.

The Balearic Islands began with more presence in the rival field, although with little depth and without threatening the local goal. Oviedo entrusted their options in the first half to a Montoro who was key in midfield, and with a Borja Sánchez who gained more prominence as the minutes went by, already far from the left wing. But Enrich’s chances, already in the second half, went to limbo, and the goal fell on the visiting side, after a penalty converted by Ekain at the hand of Tarín. Obeng was able to equalize with a header that went straight to the crossbar.

ANDORRA CHARGES EIBAR AND GRANADA IS THE NEW LEADER

Granada is the new leader of LaLiga Smartbank with 12 points, after beating Mirandés with a brace from Uzuni and a great game from José Callejón. The top scorer of the championship put the Nasrid team ahead with a pass from Callejón one minute before the break. The goal did not deter the visitors who continued to put up a fight and got their reward four minutes after the restart, with Raúl’s equalizer.

This goal awoke from the certain lethargy in which the Karanka team was immersed, who once again made use of the Callejón-Uzuni duo, with the second goal of the match for the striker, confirming a victory that puts them in the lead and puts them back on track Victory.

One of the surprises of the day was Andorra, who added their third victory of the course by beating Eibar (2-0) and confirming their improvement in recent weeks. In addition, they remain undefeated at home, thanks to goals from Sergio Molina and Héctor Hevel. Those from the Principality already beat Granada two days ago, and now they are taking on another favorite for promotion.

For its part, Eibar suffered a new slowdown and still did not win far from Ipurúa. He is already fifth with ten points, after a match in which he only tried in the final minutes, with two clear chances from Bakis.

Finally, Zaragoza closed this Saturday’s games with a meritorious victory thanks to Mollejo’s goal in the second half. It is the second victory in a row for Carcedo’s team, while Abelardo’s team adds two consecutive defeats, forgetting their good start to the season. The lack of aim condemned the Asturians, who tried hard but without luck, failing the impossible. Both teams remain in the middle of the table.
