Granada, Eibar and Alavés want to take positions

MADRID, 18 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The recently relegated Granada and Alavés, who already won on matchday one, as well as Eibar -another of the big favorites for promotion- face the second round of the season with the intention of maintaining their good debut in the SmartBank League and taking up positions in this long road of 42 chapters.

Aitor Karanka’s Granada, who beat Ibiza on matchday 1, will receive a newly promoted team this Saturday, Racing de Santander, who were unable to score on their debut. The Nasrids intend to confirm their favoritism from the beginning and will try to become strong before their public.

For its part, Alavés attacked Butarque seven days ago and showed that they have the makings to be at the top. Luis García Plaza’s pupils, with a good base in the First Division, will host Mirandés this Friday (9:00 p.m.) to add their second win and climb to the top.

In addition, Eibar also plays this Friday, at the same time, but will do so away from home against the Villarreal subsidiary. Those of Gaizka Garitano were on the verge of promotion last season but they already know the formula to get there and they will not want to lose points along the way. Opposite, Miguel Álvarez’s team from Castellón, who is currently the leader by goal difference.

For its part, in other matches on this second day, Ponferradina -also with three points in its locker- faces Ibiza, as well as Albacete and Burgos, who face each other, or the debutant Andorra, who has already beaten Oviedo and now they will try to repeat the victory against another Asturian team, Sporting, who did not go beyond a draw last weekend.
