Granada closes 2020 as the year with the most victories in its history

Granada's victory this past Wednesday against Valencia (2-1) has allowed the rojiblanco team to finish 2020 as the year with the most triumphs in its history, with twenty-eight in total, which have allowed it to qualify for the first time for a League Europe in which they have reached the round of 32.

The comeback against Che, thanks to the goals of Brazilian Robert Kenedy and Jorge Molina, has led the Grenadians to add 28 victories in the 51 games played in 2020, which becomes their year with the most wins in their nine decades of history, surpassing the 27 reached in 2003, as highlighted by the Twitter account @GCFstats.

The merit of the team led by Diego Martínez is even greater if one takes into account that Granada was a member of the Third Division in 2003 and that now it is in the top national category.

The figure of twenty-eight wins for the rojiblanco team means that they have won in more than half of the matches played this year, with a balance of ten draws and thirteen defeats in the rest.

This positive background allowed Granada to reach the semifinals of the last edition of the Copa del Rey, finish in seventh position in the league the previous season, play for the first time in European competition, a Europa League in which it has reached the sixteenth of final, and currently being seventh in LaLiga Santander.
