Gaspar stands out from the party and confirms his positive for COVID-19

Sporting's midfielder Gaspar Campos has wanted to distance itself from the alleged party after which a coronavirus outbreak emerged in the rojiblanca squad with the positives of six players from the first team, three from the reserve team and a member of the coaching staff and more than 100 affected. The footballer has confirmed in the statement that he is one of the six players who have tested positive.

The statement that Gaspar Campos has published on Twitter is as follows:

Dear sportinguistas,

For this statement, I would like to clarify some information or rumor that is spilling about me, especially on social networks. As you know, for a few days I have been, unfortunately, positive for COVID-19. I feel good, recovering and wanting to be, sooner rather than later, back in training and in games to continue my professional activity.

What I would like to clarify is that I have not participated in any party or social event that compromised my health, since I live with people at risk and my Christmas holidays were spent as a family, limiting risks and contacts and, even so, I have been infected with COVID-19. Therefore, I ask for respect for myself and that I be unmarked from any irresponsible attitude regarding the pandemic we are suffering from.

Thank you for the support and affection that you have always given me. Puxa Sporting!
