The Gallur Municipal Sports Center, in Madrid, is preparing to host the Madrid Spain Masters of Badminton, from March 28 to April 2, after the City Council of the capital has presented the event this Thursday in Madrid’s Plaza de Colón .

The presentation ceremony was attended by the Councilor for the Sports Area, Sofía Miranda, who had the opportunity to play badminton with Kike Peñalver, the best Spaniard in the world ranking. Along with Carolina Marín and Clara Azurmendi, the player will complete the Spanish representation in the competition.

During her speech at the presentation, Miranda highlighted the support from the City Council “for attracting these great events” to Madrid “to create a pool, so that children can see their role models” and can “in the future have a healthier society thanks to to sport”.

Access to the venue will be free and open until full capacity is reached from Tuesday, March 28, the first day of competition, until Friday the 31st. Tickets will have to be purchased to access the semifinals on Saturday, April 1, and on Sunday 2, in which the competition will close with the finals.
