Futsi reconquers the league

After 2-2 in the first leg, Futsi Atlético Navalcarnero regained the top of the Futsal First Division two years later with its sixth league title, all in the last decade, with a 6-3 victory against Pescados Ruben Burela in the second leg of the final, resolved by the Madrid team between the end of the first period and the beginning of the second, when it opened a definitive gap.

One minute and 19 seconds before the break, Anita Luján broke the tie again to give Futsi the lead with 3-2; 20 seconds into the second half, Irene Córdoba -scorer of the last three goals for her group- culminated a good collective action to make it 4-2 in favor of her team, for which, moreover, the tie was enough to be champion, because he had obtained a better position in the regular competition. He was first with 80 points out of 90 possible. His rival finished second. With 74.

The equality of the first leg (2-2) reaffirmed Futsi for the return leg, which took advantage of its local status to proclaim itself champion of the league two years later, in which the winner had been precisely the Galician block. Ten of the last eleven league titles have been shared between the two teams, with six from the Madrid team and four from the Galician team.

Futsi Atlético Navalcarnero always took the initiative in the second leg. First with Ari’s 1-0, in minute 3, to which Dany responded with 1-1 moments later; then with the 2-1 also by Ari, in minute 12, equalized by Peque just one minute and 14 seconds later; and in an irrefutable way from Anita Lujan’s 3-2 before the break and from Irene Córdoba’s 4-2 at the beginning of the second, already decisive for the Madrid victory.

The difference was further increased by Irene Córdoba, who scored the 5-2 six minutes from the end of the match (later Burela scored the 5-3) and the final 6-3 in the penultimate second to crown Futsi as champion.
