Feliciano's placid debut to reach the round of 16

The Spanish Feliciano lopez qualified this Monday for the round of 16 of the tournament ATP 250 from Antwerp (Belgium), by beating the American without problems and in two sets in the first round Tommy Paul.

The Toledo tennis player, number 62 in the world and who has ended a streak of five consecutive defeats, beat Paul, 59 in the ranking, by 6-3 and 6-2, in little more than an hour and without giving up his serve once.

In the first set, it was enough for López with Paul's service first in the sixth game and keeping his to score it, 6-3. In the second he made two 'breaks', in the third and seventh games, to close the clash with a 6-2.

Feliciano López, what had not won since Kitzbuehel's round of 16 (Austria) (beat Argentine Guido Pella), awaits rival in the round of 16 of the European Open, which will come out of Tuesday's duel between the Australian Alex de Miñaur, eighth seeded, and the French Richard Gasquet.
