Fátima Gálvez and Alberto Fernández do not go to the mixed final of the World Cup Olympic pit

MADRID, 29 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The couple formed by Fátima Gálvez and Alberto Fernández, current Olympic champions, could not qualify this Thursday for the final of the Olympic pit mixed team modality of the World Championships that are taking place in Osijek (Croatia).

The Andalusian could not continue her good run and after hanging the silver medal on Wednesday in the individual competition, she could not repeat what happened last summer at the Tokyo Games with the Madrid native, and they finished in eleventh position.

Gálvez and Fernández had options until the end of the qualifying round to get into the top six that entered the fight for the medals, but they were one plate away from achieving it after a somewhat erratic third round by both. In addition, the other couple, the one formed by Mar Molde and Adria Martínez finished in position 42.
