Club Puebla receives notice of veto for court invasion

The Puebla started the Closing 2022 at home against America. The meeting took place last Friday and ended with a 1-1 draw. However, during the match there were incidents in the Cuauhtémoc Stadium, like the expulsion of coach azulcrema Santiago Solari and that of the forward Roger Martinez.

At the end of the match, two fans jumped onto the pitch, ignoring the security that courted the perimeter of the pitch. The fans ran in search of the players, specifically one of them reached the goalkeeper of América, Guillermo Ochoa, with whom he wrapped himself in a strong hug.

The fans did not intend to cause any harm to the players, but in this period of pandemic these issues become more specific. The MX League has strict measures to avoid the increase of infections. This incident was classified as an act that puts players at risk and especially Ochoa of being able to become infected by the virus.

This Tuesday the Disciplinary Commission announced the punishment officially through a statement that has been disseminated on the social networks of the Mexican Soccer Federation (FMF). The organization has sanctioned the Club Puebla with a notice of veto to his stadium and an economic fine, after the events that occurred.

“The veto notice is derived from the spectators entering the field at the end of the game, a situation that could put the integrity and health of players and members of the coaching staff at risk. Furthermore, taking into account the current health contingency, said admission represents a flagrant violation of health protocols ”, you can read in the bulletin.
