Christensen joins Barça’s ‘infirmary’ with a sprain of the external ankle ligament

MADRID, 5 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Danish center-back Andreas Christensen joined FC Barcelona’s ‘infirmary’ on Tuesday after suffering an injury to his left ankle that will make him miss the next games and aggravate the situation in the Blaugrana defense.

“The first team player Andreas Christensen suffers a sprain of the external ligament in his left ankle. Tomorrow, Wednesday, more tests will be done to find out the exact extent of the injury,” the Catalan team reported.

The international started in the loss against Inter Milan, but had to be replaced in the 58th minute by Gerard Piqué due to this ankle problem, which will surely keep him out of the Clásico on October 16, just like the Uruguayan Ronald Araujo.

Frenchman Jules Koundé is also injured in the biceps femoris and is trying to rush to get to the clash with Real Madrid, for which Xavi could only have Eric García and Gerard Piqué as central defenders.
