The president and maximum shareholder of Celta, Carlos Mouriño, showed “one more time” your disagreement with the current status of the reform of the municipal stadium of Balaídos, and asks the municipal corporation of Vigo to paralyze what it describes as “nonsense”.
The celestial entity has sent a letter to the mayor, Abel Caballero, and the representatives of the four political parties present in the municipal corporation -PSOE, PP, Marea de Vigo and BNG- so that their fans and subscribers are respected in view of the need to have a “minimally comfortable space” for all of them.
The letter is signed by Carlos Mouriño, and in it the Celtic leader reviews the “breaches” in which, in his opinion, the city council of Vigo has incurred since the works of reform of Balaídos.
In this sense, the president of Celta regrets the “impossibility” of having the 6,500 Marcado locationsr for the duration of the works on that stand, and warns that some partners will not be able to access the stadium when the health authorities allow it because “today we have approximately 22,000 subscribers and we have 26,700 seats.”
In addition to requesting specific information about the seats that will be eliminated to know the new capacity of Balaídos, Mouriño asks political representatives to stop the works because “they do not meet the minimum to represent the city of Vigo.”
