Brighton rescues a point at the last minute against Crystal Palace

MADRID, 14 One. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Brighton & Hove Albion rescued a point at the last minute against Crystal Palace (1-1) thanks to a Joachim Andersen own goal, in the game that opened this Friday the 22nd day of the Premier League, and that leaves both sets in the middle of the table.

Patrick Vieira’s side survived at the American Express Community Stadium after seeing VAR disallow a Neal Maupay goal and Pascal Gross’ missed penalty after half an hour. Palace held on with integrity and ended up finding the prize for the goal in the 69th minute.

Gallagher, 21, finished with class in the heart of the area and scored the goal with a great strike. However, with three minutes to go, Andersen couldn’t help but put the ball into his own net after a play by Maupay proved decisive. In this way, Palace is still without a win in the Premier in 2022, and will continue to be eleventh, while Brighton is in eighth place.
