‘Bolillo’ Gómez, new coach of Honduras

Colombian coach Hernán Darío ‘Bolillo’ Gómez has been named the new coach of Honduras to replace Uruguayan coach Fabián Coito, the National Football Federation of Honduras confirmed this Saturday.

The 65-year-old coach from Medellín becomes a coach again after leading Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala and Panama, all with the aim of directing Hondurans towards the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Honduras occupies the last place in the octagonal final of the Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean Football (CONCACAF), with only three points, seven from the last of the places in the direct classification for the World Cup event and five from the play-off .
