Despite the improvements that Bernardo finds in his team, the midfielder predicted a difficult quarter-final tie against Atlético de Madrid: “It won’t be just another game. It’s a competition that most of us haven’t won, it’s the only one that we lack”.
“We know that Atlético will make it difficult for us. We know them. They are used to playing this type of game with a lot of pressure. They are aggressive and will not leave us much space. They have some of the best players in the world, they are very competitive, organized and have a very defined style of play. Manchester United couldn’t beat them, neither did Liverpool two years ago. It won’t be easy”.
